JISDO design principle

Our brief for every garment

What JISDO stands for

JISDO Sportswear designs performance apparel for athletes and everyday movers. We believe clothing should help you move, then get out of the way. That sounds simple, but it asks for a great deal of care: fabrics that breathe and recover, seams placed where the body does not flex, fits that work across many shapes and sizes, and a standard of durability that lets a garment keep going for years instead of weeks.

We start every garment with the athlete, the sport and the problem to be solved. Only after that do we think about how it should look. Prototypes are worn, washed and pushed hard long before they reach a shelf, and the feedback from the people who wear them goes straight back to the pattern table.

Designed with athletes, tested in the real world

Our work is shaped by the disciplines we serve: sprinting and track, marathon and distance running, football, trail running, basketball and cycling with the JISDO Racing Club. Each has different demands, and each teaches us something. Sprinters tell us about seams and stability at maximum effort. Distance runners tell us about comfort over hours. Footballers tell us about contact and constant direction changes. Cyclists tell us about long days in the saddle and changing weather.

These lessons feed into every range. A detail developed for a trail runner can end up improving a gym top, and a seam position refined with cyclists can make a pair of running shorts more comfortable. We keep one team and one standard, and we apply what we learn everywhere.

Three collections, one standard

Our current range is built around three collections. Velocity is our summer collection of lightweight, ventilated layers for hard sessions in the heat. Night Run is built for early starts and late finishes, with reflective detailing and thermal fabrics for the dark months. Foundation is the quiet core of the range: everyday training staples refined to last. Origin, our first collection, remains in the archive as a reminder of where we started.

Each collection has its own page with the full story: the idea, the fabrics, the construction, the testing and how to look after the garments. You can find them in the collections section.

Responsible by design

Making performance clothing has an impact on the world, and we would rather be honest about that than pretend otherwise. Our sustainability roadmap sets out three commitments, each with a number and a date: 85 per cent recycled or responsibly sourced materials by 2030, plastic-free packaging by 2028 and a 40 per cent cut in operational emissions by 2030.

We will report on progress every year, including where we fall short. Underneath all of it is a simple principle: the most sustainable garment is the one that keeps being worn, so we design and test for durability first.

Questions people ask us

Where can I buy JISDO?

JISDO is sold through selected specialist sports retailers rather than directly from this website. The retailer page explains where we are growing, and the contact page is the best way to ask about a stockist near you.

Who is JISDO for?

Everyone who moves, from elite athletes to people who have just started running, riding or going to the gym. Our patterns are graded across a wide size range, and our garments are tested with people of many shapes and levels of fitness.

How should I look after my kit?

Wash cool, skip the fabric softener, close zips, dry away from direct heat and repair small damage early. Our news section has a full guide, and the sustainability page explains why it matters.
